For the Ministry Worker...

We are responsible…when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help; we want our hand
always to be there. For that we are responsible.

We are responsible both to God and each other.

You are responsible to God to insure that the parents, of the flock you are in care of,
know and understand their responsibility to train up their own children. It is not God's
way that Children's Ministry workers assume that responsibility. It is the role given by
God to them as parents.  Children's ministry workers are the equippers of both parent
and child.

But watch out! Be very careful never to forget what you have seen the Lord do for you.
Do not let these things escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass
them on to your children and grandchildren.  Deuteronomy 4:9

It is your responsibility to pray for, equip, counsel and encourage parents to fulfill their
God given role and responsibilities as parents. For this you are responsible.

Jesus came and told his disciples, I have been given complete authority in heaven and
on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey
all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to
the end of the age.  Matthew 28:18-20

. . . Woe be to the shepherds . . . The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have
ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither
have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which
was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them . . . I will seek that which was
lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was
broken, and will strengthen that which was sick. . .(Ezekiel 34:2,4,16)

We are responsible both to God and each other.

The Connexs Campaign will structure training and materials both for the ministry
workers and families. It will be a time of evaluation for both church and for you
personally, connecting purpose and accountability in the work of training up the next
generation. The challenge for you is- how involved are you willing to let parents be?
